Yes Ma’am Projects is pleased to present Window Wells, an exhibition bringing five artists together for site-specific installations in the intermediary spaces that provide safe egress, light and air for the basement gallery. As a function of safety and city code, these openings are designed for the human body to move through in case of emergency but also offer wistful contemplation as private passageway to the outside world. The uniform dimension of each window well offers the opportunity for each artist to create a unique installation that can be viewed from the interior of an empty garden level gallery.
